The Dyson V6 Absolute: An Awesome Vacuum Cleaner

It boasts of being the most powerful cordless vac, and that alone makes it hard to ask for much more.

The new Dyson V6 Absolute is the latest in the company’s line of “stick vacs” acting as a combination handheld and upright vacuum in one. Including a range of attachments for both floors and carpets, it makes it easy to ensure that regardless of your surface area, the Dyson v6 Absolute can complete the job.

This is a sleek product that turns the chore of cleaning into something simple and accessible. The company has once again proved its technical innovation, even boasting that it features twice the suction of any other cordless stick vacuum. The unit is bagless and can be emptied directly into the bin making it easy to dispose of waste. It’s also fitted with a HEPA filtration system to trap allergens, with Dyson advertising it expels air cleaner than what entered the vac.

At almost $900 at the time of this review, its an expensive top-of-the-line product, but works wonders if you don’t have a large home and are short on storage space. It’s size makes it easy to manoeuvre – it can be stored upright against the wall and fit into the decor of a small city unit.

The main downside is the 20 minute battery life from full charge, and a paltry 6 minutes on the max setting. Granted if you have a smaller home or unit, its unlikely that you’ll need the full battery life – and there is a noticeable difference in suction power when using the max setting. During our testing we found the battery life tended to exceed these advertised times. It’s also quite noisy for such a small device, but its so effective this point seems more a whinge than a bonifide complaint.

The Dyson V6 Absolute is a vacuum we’d recommend for city living people who want cordless mobility to get the job done quick.
