Keynote speakers announced for NT’s October Business Month

Kogan founder Mr Ruslan Kogan, leading Australian chef Matt Moran, businesswoman Naomi Simpson and Olympian Stephen Bradbury head the list of keynote speakers for the Country Liberals Government’s October Business Month which is celebrating 21 years.

Business Minister Peter Styles said the 2015 October Business Month would cover themes of Leadership; Finance; Marketing; Social Media; and Business Technology with a strong focus on Women in Leadership.

“OBM is the premier business event in the Northern Territory and is considered by many Territory-based small and medium enterprises as the premier business event in their annual events calendar,” Mr Styles said.

“OBM features an exciting range of keynote speakers and events to provide Territory businesses with opportunities for professional development, innovative management ideas and networking opportunities with a host of industries.

“The Giles Government is expecting more than 9000 attendees, enjoying over 150 business conferences, seminars and networking opportunities across the Territory during OBM for 2015. It is an event not to be missed by the Territory business community, with an outstanding program being put together.

“Naomi Simpson has become one of Australia’s tech success stories after selling more than two and a half million experiences through her business RedBalloon, a regular blogger, author, speaker and most recently a ‘Shark’ on Shark Tank, she will be well received in Darwin.

“Serial entrepreneur, founder and CEO of, Ruslan Kogan will give insight to how he has gone from garage to global, becoming a huge success with millions of customers.

“Multi-award winning chef, restaurateur and best-selling cookbook author Matt Moran will share his 30 plus successful years in the food industry. He is now arguably one of Australia’s most recognised chefs after hosting and presenting popular television programs Masterchef and Paddock to Plate.

“With four-time Olympian, Gold medallist and businessman Stephen Bradbury bringing a fresh and uniquely Australian feel to the corporate world and David de Garis, Director and Senior Market Economist for NAB, there is definitely something for everyone.
